Now that Apple’s long-awaited Apple Watch has landed, we couldn’t resist sharing our favourite Apple Watch apps with you.

There are literally thousands of apps available for Apple’s latest gadget. Here are our pick of the bunch.

1. Weather Nerd

Get everything you need to know about the weather in three panes: today, hour and week. Today provides you with temperature and rainfall estimates and a Plain English overview of the day’s forecast. Hour shows imminent rainfall and Week gives an overview of what’s coming during the next six days.

Are you fed up of getting lost while trying to find your way to the nearest cash point or petrol station? This app is designed to make your life a whole lot easier. Basically, you can search for the location by category and instantly get details, including the full address and maps.

Reminders aren’t yet available on the Apple Watch so apps like Clear are a great way to keep tabs on things. It’s easy to use and provides you with quick access to your tasks. You can also clear and create tasks and use the ‘glance’ function to view your next reminder.

As crazy as this may sound, there’s no calculator on the Apple Watch. PCalc has a smart interface and is the ideal option if you’re looking for a feature-rich calculator that’s easy to use.

How many times have you been frustrated with not knowing when your delivery’s going to arrive? This award-winning app enables you to record your life as you live it by creating a ‘micro-journal.’ You can write diary entries (via Siri) in seconds as you go along, thanks to the app’s simplified processes. You can also use location check-in and attach your most recent photos to really bring your entries to life. It’s a really ingenious piece of software.
